บทคัดย่อ	ความสามารถและทักษะของคนไทยอันเกิดจากการสั่งสมประสบการณ์ที่ผ่านกระบวนการ เรียนรู้เลือกสรร ปรุงแต่ง พัฒนาและถ่ายทอดสืบต่อกันมาเพื่อใช้แก้ปัญญาและพัฒนาชีวิตซึ่งก่อให้ เกิดงานสร้างสรรค์เพื่อตอบสนองหน้าที่ใช้สอยในชีวิตประจำวัน ซึ่งการทอเสื่อกกเป็นภูมิปัญญาของ คนในท้องถิ่นที่นำเอาต้นกกมาแปรสภาพให้เป็นเส้นย้อมสีแล้วสานทอให้เป็นแผ่นผืน เพื่อนำมาใช้ปู รองนั่งหรือนอน เสื่อกกเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีใช้กันอยู่ทั่วไปทั้งนี้เพราะต้นกกเป็นพืชธรรมชาติที่ขึ้นอยู่ ทั่วไป ทำให้เสื่อกกถูกจัดได้ว่าเป็นปัจจัยจำเป็นอย่างหนึ่งต่อการดำรงชีวิตของผู้คนในอดีต จนปัจจุบัน มีผลิตภัณฑ์อื่นเข้ามาทดแทนการใช้เสื่อกกมากมายให้เลือกนับตั้งแต่เสื่อน้ำมัน พรม กระเบื้องปูพื้น และอื่น ๆ ทำให้กระแสความนิยมในการใช้เสื่อกกลดลงและคนรุ่นจึงไม่ค่อยมีความสนในในการทอเสื่อกกมากนัก ผู้จัดทำโครงการจึงเล็งเห็นโอกาสนี้ที่จะร่วมกันพัฒนาเสื่อกกของแบรนด์ Thorr ให้เป็น material ที่สามารถนำไปสร้างสรรค์ผลิตภัณฑ์อื่น ๆ ได้อีก โดยการนำเสื่อกกจากแบรนด์ Thorr มา ออกแบบเป็นเฟอร์นิเจอร์และของตกแต่ง โดยมีแนวทางการออกแบบใน สไตล์ contemporary ตาม อัตลักษณ์ของแบรนด์ที่นำเอกลักษณ์ของเสื่อกก ผสมผสานกับรูปทรงที่นิยมในปัจจุบันคือ modern เพื่อสะท้อนความงามรูปแบบร่วมสมัยให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการและรสนิยมของผู้บริโภคใน ปัจจุบัน เพื่อให้ได้เฟอร์นิเจอร์และของตกแต่งร่วมสมัยที่ยังคงไว้ซึ่งความใส่ใจในรายละเอียด ภูมิปัญญาที่ควรค่าแก่การครอบครอง
